Garnet’s boyfriend is a very good investigative reporter. In fact, he’s too good! He had amassed a large file on a local crime boss and was about to publish a story guaranteed to bring him to his knees, but the crime boss had a few tricks up his sleeve! He had snatched Garnet to use as a bargaining chip. If her boyfriend gave up publishing the story and destroyed all evidence, she’d be released. If not, well….it was best Garnet not think about that.
